![]() ![]() I'm a tinkerer so I made my own shims by hand and they work fine. Once the bushings are installed, no more grinding. What causes this is the cast frame is softer than the steel of the cylinder, and the forward force of the hand pushing on the ratchet is strong, grinding the cylinder into the frame. ![]() 006' increments, about 5 or so in a pack. Brownells/Midway sells shims for this, I believe in. My everyday RR did that, and it was very simple to fix. Guys, those of you with the light strikes, you have excess cylinder end-play. On the one that is my everyday 'carry' gun, I keep the mag cylinder in. ![]() I've got 3 Heritage Rough Riders, had them for about 5 years now, and have only had a problem with one of them. ![]()
